Final Animation!! :O

this is my final animation. I believe it is better than the original one.

I had some trouble with the flame because when I put the flame over the dragon there was a white area covering the dragon. I also tried to solve the problem using photoshop... but I was unsuccessful. So i just covered the dragon with the flame straight away.

• The ability to undo and redo.
• There is no mess. For example, if you were painting on a canvas, there is the issue of cleaning up, while with digital artworks, they can be stored neatly in files on a computer.
• With digital artworks, there is no annoying smudging while creating your artwork.

What skills must a digital artist possess to create great digital art?

• A digital artist must have a steady hand in order to use the mouse as a pencil OR the artist could purchase a device which lets them draw onto a pad which then sends the image to the computer.
• Digital artists must also have the required skill to be able to use programs such as -  paint.net and Inkscape, in order to create great artworks

Digital data is based in the binary code. The binary code is made up of the numbers 0 and 1

What is a bit?

A bit is the smallest piece of information

What is “sampling rate”?

The sampling rate is the number of samples per second taken from a continuous signal to make a discreet signal

How does Colour Depth (Color Depth) or bit depth effect the appearance of an image?

Colour depth refers to the number of bits of computer memory needed to store colour information for an image.

• 1-bit allows monochrome or 2 colors. (black and white)

• 2-bit allows 4 colors.
• 4-bit allows 16 colors.
• 8-bit allows 256 colors.
• 16-bit allows 65,536 colors.
• 24-bit allows 16,777,216 colors.

The more bits there are, the more colours you can have

  Colour depth effects both still and video digital media. Sampling rate only effects video but not still media. Can you explain.

Sampling rate only affects video because there are many pictures, and audio to be sampled as samples per second, while still media doesn't have a sampling rate because there is only one picture (not multiple pictures per second)

Flip

 Flipping an object on one of it's axis. This produces one image that is alike the original

The maximum amount of pixels that can be displayed on a monitor.

File Extension
A portion of the file's name, after the final point, which shows the kind of data stored in the file. Examples below


Compression
The reduction of the storage space required for data by changing it's format

Frame Buffer
A section of a video system where an image is stored, pixel by pixel. A frame buffer is also used to refresh a raster image

Colour Depth (Bits Per Pixel)
The number of bits of information stored in each  pixel of an image. If there are more bits, this means that more colours can be represented. A higher number of bits means that it will take much more of the computer's memory to store and display the image
